American & Burgers
Every now and then you just HAVE to have a burger, so when that craving strikes, where do you go in Lehigh Valley, Pa. for great American food and burgers? Check out these restaurants below offering up American comfort food, pub grub, and more.
Lovers of southern American cooking should check out the Easton and Bethlehem locations of The Bayou, known for its classic southern menu with a New Orleans flair. Try the absolutely sinful mac-n-cheese, collard greens, and fried chicken—all worth the calories. Head to Willow Street Pub in Coplay for casual American dining, with fan-favorite pub grub classics like wings, sandwiches, and burgers like the Last Call Burger or the classic Willow cheeseburger. Downtown Allentown’s establishment for excellent burgers has got to be Bell Hall, close to the PPL Center making it the perfect spot for a pre-concert or pre-game bite & beer.
Even high end restaurants get in on the burger fun at food festivals, like PA Bacon Fest in Easton. Fans wait in lines stretching around the block for THREE OAK Steakhouse’s famous 50/50 burger—half ground bacon, half ground beef with house-made bacon jam, steakhouse aioli, and crispy frizzled onions on a grilled brioche bun. While you won’t find that particular burger on their daily menu, try the sliders as an appetizer for the table or as an entree to get your fix until PA Bacon Fest rolls around again.
